Princess Diana’s Stepmother Raine Spencer Has Died at Age 87

Princess Diana‘s stepmother sadly died after suffering from a short illness, her son William Legge, the Earl of Dartmouth confirmed on Friday, Oct. 21. She was 87-years-old.
“Raine, Countess Spencer, died peacefully at her home in London,” the Spencer family said in a statement, according to People.
Raine was married to Diana’s father, Earl Spencer, from 1976 until his 1992 death. In addition to Diana — who sadly passed away at age 36 in August 1997 — Raine was a stepmother to the Earl’s son, Charles Spencer.
